The cooperation between our Clothing Bank and the Poděbrady Handicap Centre of the Heart shows that help does not always have to be one-sided, but can be comprehensive and mutually beneficial.
So far, our Clothing Bank has provided material assistance to our partner in the form of donated clothing for their clients and partners. This year, however, the cooperation has moved to the next level, with the staff of the Handicap Centre printing more than 400 free T-shirts for the Clothing Bank in return. These now serve as a representative element at events, fundraisers and public presentations of the project. But their use also has a deeper meaning – the T-shirts symbolize the connection between people who help and give new meaning not only to clothing but also to cooperation between organizations from different regions.
“We are pleased that we could expand our cooperation with the Centre in this way. It is a beautiful example of mutual support between non-profit organisations that focus on different areas but share the same values – dignity, solidarity and active help for people in need,” says Dana Pavlousková, director of the Clothing Bank.
Handicap Centre Srdce, o. p. s. helps people with disabilities, especially mental disabilities, to lead a quality and full life. Thanks to this, every print on a clothing bank T-shirt has not only a visual but also a human dimension.
