December aid that warmed thousands of people

The Christmas season is a time when we are more than ever aware of the need for solidarity and support for those who need it most. In December, we at the Clothing Bank proved that together we can change difficult fates. Thanks to your help, we distributed 3,472 kilograms of clothing this month, helping to make winter a little more bearable for many people in need.

Warm clothes for those who need it most
December was particularly marked by helping shelter residents and homeless people. In total we donated:

● 1,200 kg of crisis packs to Food Banks,
● 2 100 kg to 14 cooperating organisations,
● 43 packages to individual applicants who contacted us asking for help.

Christmas joy for children

We were also able to bring joy under the Christmas tree thanks to the donations we received from our partners. In December we gave away:

● 154 toys from Wiky,
● 520 Christmas gifts from Ikea,
● and 60 family tickets to the Zájezd Zoopark.

These gifts not only made the children happy, but also relieved the worries of their parents in difficult living conditions, at least for a while. The Christmas spirit was thus able to enter homes where it would otherwise have remained at the door.

Traditionally, JTI has provided financial support to enable us to carry out our activities. Thanks to their generous contribution, we can effectively help where it is most needed.

December’s assistance would not have been possible without the commitment of our volunteers, donors and partners. Together, we have shown that even in the most difficult moments, homeless people, single parents, seniors, day centre visitors, people with disabilities and children from shelters can feel warmth and humanity. We believe that together we can do similarly great things in the coming year.
