The first month of 2025 at the Clothing Bank was marked by incredible solidarity and donor generosity. During January, we received an amazing 7,312 kg of clothing donated by individuals and companies from all over the Czech Republic. 855 donation packages arrived by mail, 17 donors delivered clothes to us in person and 8 companies contributed with corporate collections or donated new goods.
Thanks to this support, we were able to provide 898 kg of clothing to organizations and individuals in need. We donated clothes to the Bohnice Psychiatric Hospital, the RUBIKON Kraslice Centre, the SKP Centre Pardubice, People in Need (branches in Kladno and Beroun), the State Integration Programme, the Salvation Army – CSS Karel Larsson Prague 10, as well as to social departments in Prague 3, 6, 7, 10, 18, Lysá nad Labem and Pardubice. In addition, we helped 15 individual applicants who contacted us with a request for assistance.
We continue to establish cooperation with new partners and at the same time we have renewed our team.
However, we are still facing a shortage of clothing, especially men’s clothing, which is most in demand among people in difficult life situations. Therefore, we would like to ask our donors, if they can, to donate especially men’s jackets, trousers, sweatshirts.
