The Clothing Bank experienced an exceptional month in November, when thanks to the generosity of our donors, the commitment of our volunteers and the cooperation with our partners, we were able to distribute a record 7,132 kilograms of clothing in the form of 1,783 crisis packages to those who need it most.
Where did the aid go?
Of the material aid distributed:
- 1 354 crisis packages were taken by the Food Banks of Džbánsko, Central, Karlovy Vary and Ústí nad Labem for their clients.
- 349 crisis packages went to the Children’s Home Hodonín u Kunštátu, People in Need Kladno, Prison Znojmo, People in Need Beroun, Czech Red Cross Kladno, State Integration Programme Ostrava and Asylum House Mladá Boleslav.
- 80 crisis packages were sent by mail to individual applicants.
Who helped us?
A big thank you to the companies that organized clothing collections or donated new clothes from their production.:Husky, Vermont, VFN (Westfield Chodov bazaar), Fresenius Kabi, JTI, Oracle, Assa Abloy, Toray Textiles Europe, Nestlé, Penny, Foodora, Procter & Gamble, Thales and Potex. Thanks to their support, we were able to help thousands of people in need. Thanks also go to Naše Maso, which regularly donates 6 kg of quality fresh meat a week to single parents. This practical help brings great relief to families.
The financial support that allows us to operate and develop our projects is provided each month by our main partner, JT International.
Volunteer help
In November, a total of 22 volunteers from Česká spořitelna, Vodafone, CBRE and Hestia took part in the work of the Clothing Bank. Their dedication and commitment were invaluable in sorting, packing and distributing the aid.
Thank you for your solidarity
