We Distributed 18 Tons of Clothing in the First Half of the Year

We are excited and proud to share the successes we achieved in the first six months of 2024. Thanks to your continuous support and generosity, we were able to distribute an incredible 17,554 kilograms of material aid. This result is a testament to the collective effort and cooperation between our volunteers, donors, and partners.

Overview of Our Aid in the First Half of the Year

• 11,750 kg were donated through collaborating organizations, such as the State Integration Program, People in Need, Czech Red Cross, Society for Integration of Minorities, Czech Prison Service, Parish Charities, Diakonia, children’s homes, hospitals, shelters, and other non-profit organizations across the Czech Republic.
• 3,644 kg of material aid were distributed through Food Banks in Džbánsko, Olomouc, Karlovy Vary, Central Bohemia, and South Bohemia.
• 2,172 kg were sent to individual applicants via Zásilkovna or prepared for direct distribution at the Clothing Bank.

Support and Donations Through Zásilkovna, we received 1,606 packages from donors. Dozens of companies and organizations held clothing drives to support our activities. For example, KPMG, EY, the Office of the Government of the Czech Republic and its departments, Allen & Overy, Nestlé, Česká spořitelna, and others. We are regularly supported by companies such as Potex, Wiky, Ambiente, and Naše Maso. Hundreds of individual donors bring clothing directly to Troja or to the charitable shops Fashion Charity Shop in Holešovice and Hovorčovice.

Recipients of Our Aid A total of 4,388 people in need received help from the Clothing Bank. These people come from all social groups and are in challenging life situations. Imagine a single mother who, thanks to your donations, was able to dress her children in summer clothes for camp. An elderly person who gained the dignity and comfort they deserve thanks to your contributions. Think also of the homeless individuals we equipped with warm clothing for winter, or people leaving prison who got a fresh start with our help. Our assistance also reached children in orphanages, to whom we provided necessary clothing, and refugees from around the world who, thanks to your generosity, could start a new life in safety. Every donation, every koruna, every piece of clothing has a real impact on the lives of these specific individuals. Thanks to your support, we have been able to bring hope and relief to many families and individuals.

Our Volunteers We must not forget to mention the invaluable help of our volunteers, who numbered 32 in the first half of the year. Amazon and Česká spořitelna regularly send their employees to assist us. These people selflessly give their time, energy, and heart to help those who need it most. Without their effort and dedication, our work would not be possible. We are immensely grateful for every individual who decided to join our team.
